NextDoor Pros is coming to your phone. We're building native apps for iOS and Android that carry over everything the site does today: browsing vetted local pros, posting a job, comparing candidates, and messaging — all from the same account you already use.
The app is where being on your phone actually helps. Push notifications tell you the moment a pro replies or a candidate applies to your job posting, so conversations don't stall waiting for someone to check email. Adding photos to a job — the leaking pipe, the room to paint — takes a tap with the camera instead of a round trip through a laptop. And your messages and job postings travel with you.
What doesn't change is how people reach each other. Every conversation stays inside NextDoor Pros, with no personal phone numbers or email addresses passed between customers and pros — the same protection on mobile as on the web. Pros go through the same verification, and reviews come from the same real, completed work.
We're not announcing a release date yet: we'd rather ship it right than ship it early. In the meantime the site works on any mobile browser, so nothing is on hold — and when the app is ready for download, you'll read about it here first.
